Beginning Spring 2025!
This book club is intended for parents, guardians and others who love and care for kids with neuro-complexity, vulnerable nervous systems, big behaviors or other unique needs that require a departure from conventional parenting.
You have likely tried all the things and have found your way, albeit wobbly at times, to a style that works, until one of you or your circumstances change (again).
It is hosted by Jeri Lea Kroll (that's me!), a therapist, parent and former kid with a vulnerable nervous system. You can read more about me and my practice here: www.JeriLeaKroll.com
My hope for the book club is that it will offer a space for co-creating safety, understanding, community and learning.
I also know that parenting is exhausting and sometimes adding one more thing isn't even realistic. So, my hope is to make it as low demand as possible. I would love your input about what features would make it appealing and feasible for you to participate.
I have a stack of books but am considering Dr. Naomi Fisher and Eliza Fricker's new parenting book, When the Naughty Step Makes Things Worse: Parenting for Children (and Adults) Who Need Something Different. They are both from the UK and often provide workshops together around meeting the needs of neurodivergent kids. Dr. Naomi Fisher is a psychologist who is known for her work with neurodivergent kids and her support of low demand parenting and self-directed learning. Eliza Fricker is an illustrator and autistic parent of an autistic child. You can read more here, including the table of contents: Dr. Naomi Fisher
Let me know what you think below. I am looking forward to connecting with you!

This course is an introduction to the parent course Raising Kids with Big Baffling Behaviors created by Robyn Gobbel (author of the book with same title and host of the Baffling Behavior Show podcast).
The webinar will be held 12-1:45 pm on 5/2/25 using Google Meet. The webinar cannot be recorded due to licensing requirements, so please plan to attend live. The meeting link will be emailed to you once you complete the registration form HERE
