Are you parenting a child who feels everything deeply—whose behaviors puzzle you, stretch you, or leave you wondering what’s really going on beneath the surface?

Are you working so hard to be the safe space for your kids, but realizing you don’t have a soft place to land?

Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.

I am Jeri Lea. I am a therapist and I work with parents of young children—including adoptive and foster families, and those raising neurodivergent or highly sensitive kids—who are navigating the complexities of big feelings, early stress, and vulnerable nervous systems.

I also work with adults—especially those who carry overwhelm, sensitivity, or trauma in their bodies—through the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) and relational, nervous-system-informed therapy.

Whether you’re a parent, a helper, or simply seeking healing, you're welcome here.

I named my practice Cambium Therapy & Coaching -
inspired by the cambium layer in trees, where healing and new growth emerge just beneath the surface. Like that quiet layer, this work happens gently, in relationship, and over time. I believe healing doesn’t require rushing or fixing, but rather the right conditions to support growth.

That’s what I aim to offer — for you, your child, or your family.

I’m on this journey too.

I’m a person with a vulnerable nervous system, a parent, and a lifelong learner—and I’m walking this path of growth and discovery alongside you.

My deepest desire is to support adults in creating healthy relationships with themselves and their children, so that they can thrive and families can flourish.

Parenting today is challenging in the best of circumstances. But parenting a child with complex needs or a sensitive nervous system often brings a level of intensity and isolation that others simply don’t understand.

This isn’t because you or your child are doing anything wrong—or are “broken.”
It’s because the world and the systems we navigate weren’t built with your child’s (or your) nervous system in mind.

And still compassionate, affirming care is possible.
There’s so much we can do—together—to support healing, understanding, and well-being, right now.

If you’re seeking support to:

  • Process your own past or present experiences of grief, overwhelm, or stress— and move toward greater emotional and nervous system well-being,

  • Understand and respond to your child’s behaviors in ways that bring more ease and joy to your days,

  • Build or repair a secure connection with your child,

I’d love to talk with you and see if we’re a good match.
